Emergency First Aid at Work Course

EFAW: Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3  – 1-Day Course

If your organisation’s risk assessment identifies a need for Emergency First Aid at Work, the National Award in Emergency First Aid at Work meets the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements. This course ensures your team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide effective, safe, and prompt treatment to casualties in the workplace.

The course covers a wide range of essential topics, including:

  • Responsibilities and Reporting

  • Situation Assessment

  • Dealing with an Unresponsive Casualty

  • Basic First Aid Hygiene

  • Burns

  • Epilepsy

  • Resuscitation

  • Anatomy

  • Minor Injuries

  • Bleeding Control

  • Choking

  • Shock

Certification:

Assessment is continuous throughout the course, including both practical and questions. The certificate is valid for three years, after which re-certification is required. 

Course Details:

  • Maximum Number of Learners for one instructor: 12 

  • Age for Workplace Responsibility: A student must be at least 16 to take on workplace responsibilities. The employer is responsible for ensuring the learner is suitable for the role.
